The 46th Annual Au Sable Forks Men’s Fast
Pitch Softball Tournament begins Friday, July 11th, 2008. This year’s tournament is dedicated to two local children
with devastating diseases.
Megan
Colby is a 14 year old girl who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis twelve years ago
at the age of 2. She is a great student at AVCS and an energetic athlete, excelling in basketball
and soccer. She always has an upbeat attitude, despite her daily regiment to slow
down the progress of the disease.
John Pulsifer is an 11 year old boy who was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy on October 29th, 2007. John enjoys riding his four-wheeler, playing play station, fishing, hunting and going on family camping trips. John also plays little league baseball for the Jay/Black Brook Peck Builder
Bears. John attends Au Sable Forks Elementary School.
In keeping with the setting put in place for last year’s tournament,
when we raised funds for John Nixon, the Tournament Committee wanted to raise
funds for community children in need. We are happy and honored to assist these two children and their families.”
Sincerely,
The Tournament Committee
The Tournament Committee recently presented
a $2,000 check to each of their families to help off-set their medical cost.
